Decision & publication
Accepted papers are produced, assigned a DOI and published open access.
What it costs
Nothing. iLMGate‑Medicine charges no submission fee and no article processing charge, and readers pay nothing either. If you are ever asked to pay to publish with us, it did not come from us — please tell us.
What to prepare
- A blind manuscript with no author-identifying information
- A separate title page with authors, affiliations and the corresponding author
- A cover letter explaining what the work adds
- Ethics approval and consent statements where human or animal research is involved
- Declarations of funding and competing interests
File format matters. Please submit Word .docx files. Older .doc files cannot be processed by our production tools — open the file in Word and use Save As → Word Document (.docx) first.
How review works
Your manuscript is assessed by reviewers with relevant expertise. They rate the work on originality, technical quality, clarity and significance, and provide written comments alongside a recommendation. The handling editor weighs the reviews and makes the decision: accept, request revisions, or decline.
If revisions are requested, you upload a new version. Each version keeps its own reviews and decision, so the record of how the paper developed stays complete.
After acceptance
Accepted manuscripts go into production: copy-editing, typesetting, and an author proof for you to check before anything is published. Once you sign off, the article is published open access with a DOI.
Detailed Guidance
The full, formal guidelines live on the journal site and are always the definitive version:
